At CAPE Groep you will learn how to help organizations with their Digital Transformation by using Mendix. This way, as a consultant, you will develop custom integrations and applications faster and more efficiently. The position of Business Consultant IT therefore has two important pillars: IT and Business. In the Traineeship you will learn how to bring these two pillars together. What makes CAPE and this position unique is that you not only advise on the solution, but also build it yourself together with your team.

The key points of the Traineeship

• An intensive training program of one and a half years with 500 hours of training in both your technical and personal skills;
• Learning on the job; you immediately start working under the guidance of your mentor.
• Four days a week you are partly on location at the customer and at the CAPE office where you work with colleagues on integrations and applications.
• Every Friday you are at the office in Utrecht to share your experiences with other trainees and attend knowledge sessions or training.
• You have the option of using an external coach to help you with your personal development

Employment conditions

We start with an annual contract with permanent employment in the long term and offer you a nice salary of €3,100 gross per month based on a 40-hour working week. In addition, we offer you the following secondary conditions;

• Annual profit sharing scheme on top of gross salary
• 6% non-contributory pension
• 26 vacation days
• Your own mentor who coaches, advises and guides you
• Flexible working hours and work locations
• Travel allowance of 25 cents/per km
• Use of pool cars when you go to the customer (you get your own lease car after 1 year).

What do we ask of you?

We are ambitious and driven, so it is important that you are too. Our environment is fast-paced and requires you to continuously look for new knowledge and continue to develop. You have a fast learning curve and are able to think conceptually and abstractly. In addition, you dare to be vulnerable and you can handle feedback well. When you encounter problems, you first look for the solution yourself and ask the right questions so that you get back on the right track. You are not dependent and take responsibility.

We further ask:

• A completed university education in a Business or IT direction;
• 0 to 3 years of work experience;
• Affinity or interest in technology, IT, programming or wanting to build something yourself;
• Full-time availability;
• Very strong command of both Dutch and English.

Your role will include

Interacting with customers on a one-on-one basis to understand their challenges and requirements. You will analyse the problem based on customer specifications to find out its root cause and craft a solution. This solution would be in the form of building apps (without programming) using the Mendix low and no-code platform to fulfil customer requirements and mitigate the challenges. But don’t worry. You will never walk alone: you will be working in agile teams in the SCRUM process model.

What you bring to the table

You have graduated within the last 3 years or you have up to 2 years of low code experience.

Experience with Mendix or another low-code platform. If you have experience with hard coding/programming, no problem! You can start by joining our Mendix Bootcamp.

Experience in Java, HTML, Python, JSON/REST web services, and SQL databases is a bonus.

Front-end development (UI, HTML5, CSS3, SASS) is also a nice to have.

English proficiency and fluent in Dutch
